Dr. Patel obtained her undergraduate degree of B.S. in Biology, while minoring in biochemistry, with program distinction from Richard Stockton College in New Jersey. She continued her education at Ross University School of Medicine where she earned her medical degree with honors and completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at East Carolina University in Greenville.

After residency training, Dr. Patel received additional fellowship training at Triangle Orthopedics Associates (EmergeOrtho) in interventional musculoskeletal and spine. Her areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, joint and musculoskeletal pain. She is proficient in fluoroscopic guided and ultrasound guided interventional pain injections, including shoulder, hip, knee, greater trochanter, piriformis, plantar fascia, peripheral nerve blocks and carpal tunnel injections.

Following her fellowship, Dr. Patel was an assistant professor at the prestigious Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC, for four years. Furthermore, she has been published in medical journals, as well as served as a research reviewer, and continues to have strong interest in research.

She is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and in Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Dr. Patel’s focus is on improving the quality of life and function for her patients through medical, interventional and alternative therapies with compassionate and patient centered medical care.
